2. FINAL PROJECT
2.1 Working Progression
Week 01 - 06/02/2025 (Thursday)
Today, I became a part of a group with 9 other coursemate. After forming our
group, we then start to brainstorm our final project's topic. We went over the
instructions and finally decided to raise awareness about microplastics. Our
group has appointed Jun Jie as our group leader, which he also gladly
accepted. After that Jun Jie shared consulted our idea with Mr Shamsul, our
lectuturer. Following their conversation, he directed us to prepare a proposal
slide and present it next Monday.

Week 02 - 11/02/2025 (Thursday)
On this week, during meeting, we have finalized mood board, styling, task
distribution, and storyline. Since we have no idea for the story, Jun Jie took
the initiative to draft it himself. During discussion session, Jun Jie asked
for feedback, and Yu Tian suggested a great idea for the hook, they decided to
incorporate it at the beginning of the video.

Week 03 - 20/02/2025 (Thursday)
On this week, there are no meeting conducted. Sketches frame timeline has
delayed, but everthing is just under control, we still conduct a good work.
After that, Jun Jie start assigning job for other member to do quick animatic
and BGM to make sure that everything works well, then our group start on final
drawing.
Week 04 - 24/02/2025 (Monday)
Group leader have a quick meeting with our Animation Team to discuss how to
separate the drawing layers for easier animation.
Week 05 - 03/03/2025 (Monday)
We have our group presentation today. Everything is going smoothly. Jun Jie
asked our lecturer about the narrative of our animation video. and Mr. Fauzi
have provided some great insights. He suggested using colour and music tone to
distinguish between sections, which could enhance the storytelling and overall
impact.
Week 06 - 10/03/2025 (Monday)
This week, I will be starting on colouring the sketches. But everything is
delayed due to a lack of progress since last week. We've had to redo the
colouring and drawing multiple times, making the whole progress quite
challenging. Since multiple of us are handling the colouring progress, the
consistency has been difficult to maintain. Therefore, Jun Jie instructed us
to follow the reference materials carefully, but still, we are facing some
challenge at this stage.
Week 07 - 16/03/2025 (Sunday)
On this week, Animation Team has to work on the animation video and discuss
refinements with Jun Jie.

4. REFLECTION
Researching and developing our microplastics awareness video provided valuable
insights into both the issue and effective environmental communication. I
initially underestimated the complexity of microplastic pollution but soon
realized its deep impact on daily life. Crafting a compelling narrative was
key—we focused on storytelling rather than just presenting facts to make the
message more engaging. I also noticed that while people recognize plastic
pollution, they often overlook microplastics' long-term effects. Balancing
scientific accuracy with audience engagement was challenging, but it
reinforced the importance of visual storytelling and clear messaging. This
project deepened my appreciation for digital media’s role in raising awareness
and driving change.
