1.1 Lectures
Week 01: Introduction to Mobile Application Design
Mr. Zeon instructed us to review MIB and download it. He also outlined
his expectations for this module and highlighted the importance of
application design. Our initial task was to create a draft
proposal.
Week 02: The Art of User-Centered Design (UCD)
In week 2, the lecture will concentrate on user-centred design, user
experience design, user interface design, and the UCD process. We can
add additional elements to Project 1's final submission using the week 2
lecture slides as a reference. For the final proposal, we only need to
concentrate on one corporate app.
Week 03: Usability
Mr. Zeon discussed the significance of usability in application design,
highlighting features like consistency, simplicity, visibility,
feedback, and error prevention. We were required to present our final
proposal in the upcoming class. Attendance for Week 4 is mandatory, and
not attending will lead to a reduction in presentation scores.
Week 04: Presentation Week (Project 01)
Each of us has five minutes to share our proposals. Following our
presentations, Mr. Zeon provided us with feedback.

- The document will determine if the mobile application idea is good to continue to the next development phase.
Week 01: App Research and Exploration
Instructions:
- Choose 3 various applications
After a few day of research, here are the 3 options for apps redesign:
1. Google Keep
2. Forest
3. ZARA
During the first week of my research, I discovered an interesting genre in my
app store, it was a feature that helps people browse applications by category.
For instance, when I click on the genre "Productivity", I find various
learning apps like Google Keep, Calm, Todoist, etc. Delving deeper, I explore
their ratings and reviews/ I decided to focus on language learning application
because the 1st app on the genre is Duolingo. Therefore, I have choosen
Google Keep, Forest and ZARA as my draft poposal.

Unfortunately, the app I chose did not meet Mr Zeon's standards,
he said that the app I chose is too simple, so I had to redo the whole
presentation slide again.
Week 04: REDO Final Proposal
After that, I tried to choose another applications that is more suitable.
As, Mr Zeon said, the chosen application should have more pages
(Navigation Bar) and more function. To meet the requirement, I tried to
narrow it down and focus on the mobile apps that buy things. Becuase these
apps will be used by people no matter when and where, it is a very daily
mobile application.
Moreover, I then focus on the category, shopping and fashion retail.
Figure 3.6 Options for final proposal
After that, I have decided to redesign the Padini Mobile App. The
reason why I chose this app for redesign is that, compared with the UI
design of ZARA and UNIQLO app, it is obvious that PADINI app is very old
style. And according to user feedback from the app store, the app has very
significant UI problems, so the app is very suitable and high potential
for redesign. Lastly, I proceeded to redo my final proposal slide using
the new chosen app.

5. REFLECTION
5.1 Experience
Engaging with this project offered a practical chance to analyze and evaluate a mobile application. It enable me to implement UI/UX concepts that I have learned from class into this project.
5.2 Observation
I have observed that the PADINI mobile app has signaficant problems in UI and have room for improvement. Competitors like UNIQLO and ZARA app have provided more trendy UI layout and more interactive user experience, which I can use for reference.
5.3 Finding
Through analyze the chosen application, I found out that navigation and visual clarity of an applications are very important to enhance the user experience of an application, this can make the application more user-friendly and boost user satisfaction.
