Realism Versus Surrealism

  • Realism
    • focuses on ordinary and common subjects found in our everyday reality
    • avoids thinking outside of the box and instead explores non-exotic and non-extraordinary themes
    • aims to capture the relatable aspects of life that are familiar to a wide audience

    • A departure from traditional Realism
    • It delves into the realm of the subconscious mind
    •  The subject matter often centers around dream-like imagery and aims to distort our perception of reality 
    • Create a sense of surreality or otherworldliness in the work.

  • A cultural movement focused on type of arts to express about the artist's idea themselves

    WEEK 9 : TUTORIAL

    For tutorial session, Mr Fauzi lets us watch a short video on how to create loop animation for Instagram stories.

    WEEK 9 : PRACTICAL

    For this week's practical session, Mr Fauzi brief us about the latest assignment which is Project 2C: Conceptual Product Photoshop.  
    Timeframe of this project is from Week 09 until Week 11

    Marking Criteria of this project: 
        - Research (10%) - Week 09
        - Shooting Techniques (5%)
        - Lighting Techniques (5%)
        - Editing and Post production (10%) - Week 10

    Submission is on Week 11 and total mark is 30%

    On this week (Week 09), we just only need to do research on the Project 2C: Conceptual Product Photoshop. I will follow the timeline provided by Mr Fauzi to complete m assignment.
    To complete this assignment, My Fauzi has provided us a template of Microsoft PowerPoint, and we should follow his instruction by filling up the Microsoft PowerPoint. The content of the Microsoft PowerPoint contain the 3 sessions shown below:
